A presidential election will be held in Montenegro on 19 March. A Swedish member of parliament will participate in an international delegation which will observe the election.
A member of the Riksdag delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will participate in the observation. The task includes following up whether the elections are open and conducted in a correct manner by being present in selected parts of the country on the day of the elections.
The Swedish MP who will participate in the election-monitoring mission is:

In total, approximately 20 members of parliament from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will participate. The members will observe the elections, sealing of voting slips and the counting of the votes in various polling stations. The election-monitoring will be carried out together with observers from the European Parliament and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe works to create common European values based on human rights, democracy and the rule of law. As part of this, members of the Assembly participate in international election-monitoring missions.
Press conference in Podgorica
A press conference will be held at the Hotel Ramada by Wyndham in Podgorica on 20 March, where a preliminary statement on the election is to be made.
